Caring Places Management: 2022 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Walk To End Alzheimer’s is a day to honor and raise funds for the millions of Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.

It is also an opportunity to create Alzheimer’s awareness about the growing epidemic and to help fund research that will lead to breakthroughs in prevention, treatments, and ultimately a cure.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Thousands of walkers across the country will unite to take a stand against Alzheimer’s.

Participation in the walk helps fund critical programs and services that enhance the quality of life for those living with dementia and their caregivers — including education, support groups, caregiver counseling, and respite services.

Alzheimer’s by the Numbers

Treating and managing dementia begins with Alzheimer’s Awareness.

Alzheimer’s is an irreversible, progressive brain disease that causes memory, thinking, and behavior problems. It is the most common type of dementia and affects more than 6 million Americans. One-third of seniors will pass away with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

There is no cure for Alzheimer’s, but there are treatments to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. These treatments often include long-term care, making dementia and Alzheimer’s disease among society’s most costly medical conditions.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is more than just a walk — it’s a movement. Participation in this event will help accelerate breakthroughs that can stop dementia — and change millions of lives for the better.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is an inspiring event that gives participants a chance to raise their voices in favor of Alzheimer’s awareness and take a stand against this disease that affects many lives. It also offers individuals living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia-related illness the opportunity to share their stories with others.
