Respite Care is offered at all Caring Places communities and is to be used for stays or visits varying from a few hours and up to 30 days. We understand that assistance can be needed on a short-term basis and a long-term move is not always desired.
In Assisted Living, we have seen respite stays benefit residents and families as there may be a short period of travel where the primary caregiver is leaving their loved one and would like to know their care role and loved one can be taken care of in their absence.
In Memory Care, we have seen it benefit families caring for a loved one and using it for a mid-day stay to allow for some shopping or other errands to be run to long weekends where travel may be needed but the travel is not ideal for you and your loved one.
Care will be provided based on a negotiated service agreement between the resident and/or resident representative and the community and in accordance with any state regulations regarding respite care.
