Dawn Pratt was one of the founding members of Oregon Assisted Living Facility Association (OALFA). In the capacity of Education Officer, Dawn was responsible for developing and coordinating administrator training for the association. She had been Administrator at the Beehive Assisted Living Community in Forest Grove since it opened in 1991.
Under her direction this facility has earned a reputation as one of the most caring facilities in the area and is frequently requested to provide training for new administrators. Her skill and expertise in caring for the elderly struggling with dementia and her ability to train staff, has greatly enhanced the success of that facility. She has served on the Administrative Training Committee, working with the State of Oregon to draft Administrator training guidelines and curriculum. She has also served on the advisory board of Tualatin Valley Mental Health.
